Description
Rachel South is a chair caning expert and tutor, with years of experience in the craft. She is passionate about preserving the skill of chair caning, and is dedicated to passing her knowledge on to others. Rachel offers a range of workshops and classes, catering to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced caners. We have selected her one day introduction class for our Masterclass June series. Her introduction class covers a variety of techniques to get the candidates up and running. Each candidate will be introduced to the essential tools and materials required to produce a working sample that can be translated onto a variety of projects. Rachel’s teaching style is patient, encouraging, and informative. Whether you’re interested in learning a new skill to use yourself or simply looking to better understand the process, Rachel South is the perfect choice to get you up to speed.
The classes are limited to 8 people per class per day to ensure that everyone gets a great experience – what’s more you get to keep the sample you make as a reference to your studies once the class is over.
